Thanks ching, very professional report. Can anyone tell if playing only DVD and Bluray go for 83 or 83SE? As the official website said the upgrade is only for stereo, 5.1ch and 7.1 ch user and not for HDMI, coxial and optical user??

The major differences between 83 and 83SE is its Dac and the power supply, that resulted in a GREAT improvement in Sound (2-Channel RCA out). However, it also found that the video performance of 83SE is also improved slightly, sharper image and more vivid colour, but the difference is not huge (since the video performance of 83 is already VERY VERY Good).

睇完真的好想入, 如我現在仍用舊的AV AMP , 不對應全高清 , 又想等 3d 系列 , 如 LX 73 等 , 買入83, 用佢既解碼 , 出比AV AMP 放大 , 應是不錯的選擇

尋晚收到機後(83se), 駁 RCA 線入 AV Amp 求祈聽咗幾隻碟, 嘩, d 聲真係唔同哂, 好順耳, 連我老細遠遠聽到都話咁先係歌 (都冇問佢意見 {:6_188:}), 其實我只係用傑士嗽叭聽, d 聲真係好聽極有限, 點知出黎效果都唔錯!
不過相信就算唔用83se, 用 83 或其他 player 駁 RCA 線入 AV Amp 聽歌都會比而家用 hdmi 有進步!
