For the Eee Box 1501, it's best that you use a DAC rather than directly connecting to your av amp.

From personal experiments, I found the below connection sounds quite nice:

Eee Box 1501>USB cable > Coaxial converter > coaxial cable > Dac > RCA > Av amp
