The cpu should be quite quiet. But I am not sure about the HDD. Give it a try nonetheless. Maximize your resources!

Thanks for sharing.A concise and precise report.
Oppo 83 has defects in audio side which has reported in UK Mag - Hifi Choice during the late last year issue.It is expected to have a firmware upgrade but not yet disclosed.As for EEPC in SSD operated in dry battery with minimal harddisc noise which makes a perfect condition for music playback without any interfere compared with motor-drive CD player.Also, the best buy DAC MAGIC plays a very important part in the whole process decoding.

會幾大下,如果你部PC的hardware & software唔係為audio playback而設本身已經有好多好多劣化音質的元素.
用netbook就係可以簡單又經濟解決左好多一般desktop設計上對音色影響.
最簡單一樣Netbook用DC電已經比PC用AC電乾淨,其他EMI,Fan noise的問題都可以減少好多.

I'm also using my Lenovo netbook connecting with the Nuforce Icon for music playing, it produces fantastic sound that I've never imagined, very good value for money!!!
