as I set F=large, C & R=small.....

I think that u set your sub's crossover at 150hz. it is too busy for your sub la and may not provide good low frequency.If i were u, i would set it at 100hz only.Pioneer amp can't set individual crossover for each speaker? I think that this high level model can be set.
I remember that onkyo av amp can set crossover level for each speaker.
If your friend is master grade, ask him to turn your system to the best effect without adding any money, if he can, he is a real master,{:1_326:} otherwise he is only a baby bear.{:1_327:}

My low end Onkyo cannot....

試下 crossover set 100HZ , 另Subwoofer set "plus" 試下 . 之後再手動選擇測 eq 等項目 . 我覺得樓主應該係 setting上問題 , 試多d唔同設定比較一下邊樣岩聽 .

I got the meaning of "plus" la...
SW – LFE signals and bass frequencies of channels
set to SMALL are output from the subwoofer when
YES is selected. Choose the PLUS setting if you want
the subwoofer to output bass sound continuously or
you want deeper bass (the bass frequencies that
would normally come out the front and center
speakers are also routed to the subwoofer)
I think I will keep it "Yes" only, if I set the crossover at 100Hz but set "Plus", then my subwoofer will handle more jobs (frequencies under 100Hz for all speakers will pass to sub)... it will be waste of my front speakers as it generates 3xHz - 20kHz sound....

atom ching, I think you need check what setting for subwoofer being available in your 81 when your fornt speaker is set in large mode.
