It should have no damage for Subwoofer but you may only hear a little sound or no sound from it

From Velodyne manual, it said the sub-woofer will sum up the signals from the left and right channels... so.. does it really matter?? although it does say "LFE" on the "L" terminal.

Try either Left (or right depend on your subwoofer) and then try both left and right, see what you like....

For Sunfire Users, please read manual page 16,
Internal Gain
42 dB from left input jack to subwoofer
with volume control at 0dB.
54 dB with control fully clockwise.
36 dB from right input jack to subwoofer
with volume control at 0dB,
48 dB with control fully clockwise.
That means L input will have higher amplification on signals.That's it the reason why the manual suggest you connect on L instead of R.Please note. {:1_249:}
