I was thinking just to AB test with my Eeepc I should install Voyage MPD on a VM @ my Zenbook with i7. I know I cannot disable hyper-threading in this case. But nonetheless, since the hardware is much more powerful the sound quality should improve.

u can just use the install usb to boot and use it as mpd, it's a live .iso.
and u may plug in another HD into your zenbook for mpd installation and trial.
the tweaked OS is the key of the sound of voyage mpd, so in the VM......... I don't believe it's fair.{:1_352:}

我見你條地盒線有個駁 connector的。我自己試過，條地盒銀線兩邊唔用 connector ，就咁夾住個效果明顯好過用 connector。師兄有空都可以試下. {:1_254:}
