i have a persian carpet between sofa and center. however after test(i have another thinner one-cheaper one), the carpet is too thick and absorb most of the bass. need to change a thinner one. of course the look is not nice. need to switch them when listen to music!
therefore should try different thickness of carpet to suit your case!

i wash them every 5 years. my carpets use over 10 years already! washed 2 times
very durable! perisan carpet can use forever! it worth for money!

i usually check the carpet companies around hollwood road and ask them.
