I think having different opinions is very normal,
but...
I think we can always compare two directors, but it's not easy to tell who is better. Each director has their own style, just like Micheal Bay likes to use a lot of special effects while Nolan prefers building the real set than using green screen. I honestly cannot spot the differences in the cinema between CGI and real set, unless I check frame by frame at home.
At the end, watching a movie is not a job, but an entertainment. I go to cinema to enjoy life, so I really don't care if one director is better or worse than the other as long as I enjoy the movie~
