My 5 speakers are all from JBL.
JBL price is comparatively lower, and the bass is pretty good.
I got a JBL center speaker a month ago, which is the same series as your ES20 (ES25C)... it is 4 way spea ...

i agree what you said as jbl always perform better in the same price range .....i m interest of your center ,how much ?there's not much 3 way or 4 way speaker can sell this cheap ....my front 4 way cost me $2xxxx, if i m new for av , i will buy jbl for sure ....you think set full range was better ? any detail can tell me ? but make sure the bass out set woofer only , don't set both , it will mix together and make it 2 layer together become "mum"
i plan to try try es25c soon.
would buy either es25c or RC52
Tried RC52...good movie feel from it's horn.

jbl have 3 way or 4 way speaker with not very expensive price now ,especially the 4 way center speaker...
