I got my raspberry pi recently and setup with my Synology 412+ yesterday.
The sound is better than my old notebook with audiogate. Also, it is not hard to setup if you have basic windows skills.
The most difficult part is to set the parameter in picoplayer. Othe Ching have already posted the procedures. Search "raspberry".
