My player will comming next week..., the weakness of OPP is the noise too much.......anyway, please use 4:4:4 and turn off the DEMO mode before use for a better picture.

Also, for audio playback, please use the follows if you can:(maybe for all Blu-Ray Player)

SACD: HDMI DSD
CD/VCD/DVD-A: HDMI/Coaxial PCM
DVD: HDMI/Coaxial bitstream
Blu-Ray: HDMI bitstream

I just find the original Mod Firware web site for BDP-83, I am not a programmer but I will try to learn tonight, maybe later we can DIY the Firmware to all code for both DVD & Blu-Ray.

C-Hing, what is the meaning of 4:4:4?

If your Monitor support deep color, use 4:4:4.
My player arrived today, it is very easy to KO my DVD-3930 in DVD and VCD part......{:6_126:}
