the "skip" function is used to skip the display from the left big knob on your on your front panel. e.g. if you set Skip of CD to "On", the "CD" will not be shown up when you turn the left knob.

It is normal. MCACC will try to balance the volume among all your speakers. If even it sets your sub to -10 and other channels to +10 but still cannot get a balanced volume, it will say your sub is too loud.
For me I'm using a 12" sub in a listening area of 130', I need to turn the sub volume to 30% otherwise MCACC will say it is too loud.
Interestingly most C Hing (including me) will think that the volume of bass set by MCACC is not enough. So normally I'll increase the sub by ~3 to 5 dB after the Auto MCACC {:1_338:} to exaggerate the bass impact.
