1) Front speaker should be connected to integrated amplifier.
2) Then connect pre-out of Left/Right front speaker of AV amplifier to one input of Integrated-amplifier with AV-bypass function (if Integrated Amplifier has AV bypass function)
3) If Integrated Amplifier do not have AV bypass function. Just connect pre-out of Left/Right front speaker of AV amplifier to one input of Integrated-amplifier and set the volume of Integrated Amplifier to a level equal to unity gain setting of volume. You can ask Manufacturer of Integrated Amplifier what is the volume setting equal to unity gain setting . If manufacturer do not have this information. You can try the following suggestion. In analog volume control , you can set it to 12 o'clock position. If the volume control is digital type. You can set the volume of integrated amplifier to about 80 to 85 % of its max. volume. Then, you need to re-calibrate sound level of front speaker in AV amplifier by its auto setting or by sound meter.
When you only want to listen CD. You only turn on integrated amplifier. If you want to play movie. You set the integrated amplifier to the input which is connected with pre-out of front speaker of AV amplifier and set the volume of integrated amplifier to a fixed setting and then turn on AV amplifier. In this setting, Front speaker is driven by integrated amplifier. Other speaker (centre, rear speaker ) are driven by AV amplifier. The AV amplifier will has less loading. Moreover, Pre-amplifier circuit of integrated amplifier should be always better than AV amplifier . In playing CD , it will have better performance. 11# swat03
