how about if not encoding into DD, but multichannel PCM via hdmi ? my amp can decode multichannel...

Correct me if I'm wrong, it seems display cards codec doesn't have multi-channel PCM. It may work with you Fat PS3, but PC..ummm

I am not sure too, what I see from my notebook (with hdmi output from a cheap mobile geforce), it can output win7 sound with multi-channel pcm via hdmi, there is 2 "sound card" selectable, one is the on board realtek audio chip and one is the geforce hdmi, however, it does not appear in my desktop equipped with geforce 560, all sound card I have in the desktop is the only one Recon3d....

一直都係用緊 HDMI TO AMP,睇電影,打機,聽歌都無問題
所以 ONBROAD SOUND 都可以唔用
