Headphone amp for AKG 702 under 1K
Are there any Chings who knows which heaphone amp under 1K is under to drive AKG 702 well? I listen to mainly to classical music. I am now using Beyerdynamics 990 driven by computer directly. I might sell it and buy 702 instead , but I was told that 702 needs a good amp to make it sound. not much choice under 1K, if you want 702 drive well, you should buy a good amp.at least 3k-4k. Agree, I used 702 before, hard to push. 原來師兄手上有990，拜亞動力的耳筒典型聲底是分析力高，聲線明亮，兩端伸延性好，按你需要又平又抵用的耳擴不多，$1000-$2000的價位我只想到幾款，唔介意要耳擴連DAC，可以考慮NUFORCE Icon，但推力不算太大，如果石機可以考慮下國內牌子Topping的耳擴，此外以師兄的耳機風格其實可以考慮國產膽機，香港的耳機專門店都有平價的入門膽機耳擴可以試，不妨多走走比較一下才買，再有問題亦歡迎提出，定當盡力解答。 odin1983, Thanks a lot for your suggestion. I will search for more about the headphone amp. I used AKG 240 for several years some 10 years ago, and then I switched to Sony 7506 and 880, when 880 was gone , I switched to 990. I once used 650 for a short time, but its sound is very different what I have gotten used to, so I gave it up. The WXEF1 is "cheap" and within my original budget and PH300 looks great. Are they only good for DT 990 only, or will they be capable of driving 702 well which is the best situation?
