AKG702 聴過未? 同 BEYER DT990好唔同
702 低音量很少,動態不是強項,絕不適合強勁流行曲,大編制古典也不好.
702 又不易推,直推只有蚊螆咁細聲.
要買,買Q701易推好多
taobao 上有仿A1 head-amp 的kit, mod 下機效果很不錯, 推K240 同DT880 都唔錯, 可以想一想的{:1_351:}

PH300 "MAY" possible to drive but WXEF1 I am sure it is not powerful enough, by the way, all these recommandation also great match with your 990, so if you still going to prepare for AKG, PH300 maybe the only choice, but if match with 990 only, I will recommand the WXEF1, since WXEF1 cheap because of OTL circuit without costy output transformer, not because of low frade.

Johnnymak1967, you are right that AKG is weakness in bass performance and dynamics (even in analytical ability). I tried 501 many years ago and then 701 some years ago. I did not put on bet on them because of their weaknesses (and high demand on amp). I heard from other chings in other forum that 702 made some improvement over previous models. So I am thinking to give it a try, but the bottomneck is still the amp. Now I think I might stick to my 990 and search for a good amp for it. Thanks a lot for your comments.

As far as I know, there is no dealer of WXEF1 in Hong Kong, you can try ask the seller directly.

I find that only one shop (your link) selling WXEF1 in taobao. Do you think the shop is trustworthy? I "talked" to the seller on web. He claimed that WXEF1 is as good as many other China brand headphone amp over 3000 rmb, which is very doubtful to me.
A Ching told me that there is one headphone amp called Cyber 20, which is very good and matched many headphones. But it is very expensive. Do you think it is enough to take WXEF1 for my 990 (250ohm) or save up more money to buy a "better" amp. By the way, that Ching told me that even if I sticked to 990, I should switch to 600 ohm version as it will sound much better. Do you think so? And will WXEF1 be able to drive it?

The taobao shop ownber is exactly the designer/maker of WXEF1.
I was once Cyber 20 user, it is good but only good for old man like me, soft and smooth, slow and confort.
