Hi Ching, how long have you run in the LS50? I recall it needed 100 hours before the mid range opened up. If you think the bass is enough, I will mot recommend going floor stand because midrange is normally better in book shelves. It you want open sound and better mids, get some proac 1sc :)

Yes. If you want better Mids, stick with bookshelves. 100%

Yes. The KEF LS50 sounded better after 100 hours. Especially the mids. I owned a pair. Great speakers!

Your source may need upgrade too :) If possible, buy a DAC.

PC/ iTunes -> DAC -> Amp > LS50.

Small enclosure. Easier to control vibration and resonance.

Large enclosure. Harder to control vibration and resonance.

Also, more material is needed in the larger cabinate. So if you paid the same money... ($10,000HKD), then the bookshelves would benefit more. i.e. more quality than quantity...?
