McIntosh MA 7000 doesn't come with PassThru. It only has Pre Out and Main In.

It depands on what (Stereo or AV) you prefer to.

If Stereo comes first, then MA 7000 is the best buy. Everybody understands that they are really matcing perfectly. MA 7000 comes with a Digital Volume Control. So it's very easy to set to the same volume sound pressure at anytime you want to use it with your AV components.

The price of McIntosh in the used market is also very strong too.

The c-hing selling a used MA7000 is water good.  It has been used for 6months but without warranty, is the service for water good Mcintosh very expensive if anything goes wrong?  Or is it the same as Hong good with warranty expired?

If I want to go with Pre/Power amp, what would be the cheapest Mcintosh pre-amp to go with MC252?

I know MC252 is around 35K, any Mcintosh pre-amp around 25K?
