Hi ching, I agree with your concern, however, I have had quite wonderful result with this USB setup, and volume wise it was more than I could handle, although we could always debate sound quality to death.  

All I am saying is if it is properly designed, I believe USB power source should handle IEM/CIEM quite comfortably, however I am also interested in how the amp section would sound.

Hi Ching, I took the basic Geek model after considering its design of volume control and I mainly use IEM with it.

Are you using the super geek for headphone?

Probably I will use it with my IE80 with it.
