Neumann has been professional for mic for decades and combined with Sennheiser.
I listened to Neumann KH-120A some 2 years old. It is highly analytical and good resolution. My impression is that it should be very good for vocal, jazz. But I like Genelec 8030a more, especially for listening classical music --- more musical, smooth and good tonality.
In fact, those cheap computer speakers (Creative, logitech) are all active speakers, but few people will be interested in them because of sound quality.
HiVI is a good cheap choice (<HK$2000 for its 1080 MKIII). There are all many good choices at good prices (<HK$5000 for a pair). In the past, I bought them from DMT. You can also go to Sonic Music in TST and Yip there should be able to give you advice and order one for you in case the shop has no stock.
