I saw some C-hings said Sony will repair other parallel import Sony TVs but never check with Pany. However, my old Pan 42" TV never give me problem and I think Pany's quality is good and reliable. So, need to take some risk la. Moreover, technology changes so fast, after several years this top model will become and low end TV so if it break down in 2-3 years I guess I will not repair it and rather buy a new one.

The TV has Chinese tax invoice. If problem, it is troublesome as you need to hire freight company to send it to China(no tax or duty as it has tax invoice). If after one year, better consider local repair consider the trouble.
My old 42" Pany TV is already 4 years and still very good quality. I think I will stick to Pany plasma even for my next purchase in a few years to come.
