Audio-gd filter questions

I've just received my NFB-12. I'm more than happy about the sq thru cas. but i'm quite curious about the filter setting using the jumpers inside the cab.

I've crammed with so many technical terms about the differenece between different filters' features, but end up with no idea about the SQ. I'm going to find out each of the filters impact on SQ, but would like to know if there's any chings have tried before. CAN SHARE A BIT MORE?
