C Hing 砌機收機如果唔熟，都係揾個有砌機經驗嘅朋友睇吓好啲！而家的ram又開始回升，但為日後唔駛再升級ram，落多的本都唔怕。黄金地庫的幾間大嘢都幾老實，信得過！

I got a better story...I built a minimalist PC for playing music six months ago.I store my media files on a server on the network, so I just need a small SSD to house Windows 7 on that PC.So I was asking around for 16GB/32GB SSDs, and this kid at one of the shops tried to lecture me "錢唔喺咁慳㗎"...and I was like "fuck you, moron...you were still playing in your sandbox when I built my own boxes"

For HK$9k, this is what I would do (am gonna use the prices from Jumbo to make it easier):
CPU: Intel Core i7-2600 = $2269
Heatsink: Whatever cheap Coolermaster heatsink you can get = $150
RAM: A-Data DDR3-1333 4G x 4 = $165 x 4 = $660
Mobo: Asus P8Z68-V LE = $1250
SSD: Crucial M4 64GB 2.5" SATA3 = $860
HDD: WD Caviar Green 20EARX 2TB = $575
DVD: Plextor PX-890SA 24X DVD Writer = $206
Video Card: XFX HD-687A-ZDFC HD6870 = $1400
Subtotal: $7220
You are still left with $1800 to pick a nice power supply and aluminum case.
I didn't include the cost of software, as I don't know what your situation with software is.
If you do not play games at all except Angry Birds, I don't see why you need to buy a display card like 6770/6850, you may consider buying 2600K instead of 2600.Intel HD Graphics is even faster for video encoding because of the QuickSync Technology.
Do not use small (<64GB) SSD as Win7 system drive.Win7 grows as we use it (esp.the WinSXS directory).
