"Philips LCD is bad" not really true {:6_213:}...Too many "hit hand" on web!{:6_170:}
我部SONY 40吋，用了三年。
用飛髪佬,年半、前日有聲無影.今日換底板.
其實舊三叔係ok襟用；我04年買o左部三叔LCD TV，
果陣係5年保，用o左4年幾部機忽然出唔到聲。
Call三叔support佢地好認真咁上門check我張payment receipt同保用証，
然後換o左部新既LCD比我。
但新model既三叔好易hang機，唔係好掂....{:6_131:}
I have 2 philips LCD TV...
one is 32", used for 2.5 yrs and one is 42", used for a year.....
touchwood so far so good....
By the way I have a 14" Philips LCD mon, used for 7 years already, still with ...

Not sure about Philips LCD... but I had a bad experience with Philips CRT TV long time ago.Bought a discounted display CRT TV from the Philips showroom (showroom, not dealer), and it only last for half-a-year.... exactly the duration of the warranty!!{:6_153:}
I ended up trade-in that TV to 收買佬 only after half-a-year usage...{:6_123:}

When i was a child (say 5 yrs old), i personally saw my Philips CRT 14" TV suddenly shut off and smoke came out....
But that is saying 2x years ago lu....
I think LCD will not shut down with smoke ma....

My case was about 2003 or 2004, exactly just before I purchased my 1st 3sung LCD.
Panasonic Plasma 42" very old model - TH42PW6... for 6 years... not a problem at all... sometimes better than LCD nowadays... I wish it would be broken some day then I can buy the 54" Z Series!
