Remove any disk from the player and close drawer do not put player into standby.
Turn the player off using the small power button.
Turn the player on w ... I have tried to upgrade the 2930 firmware... but it does not work...
After I have open the tray while it is display "Initialize...." and the 2930 will not read my CD-R (contained 2930 firmware ROM) ......

* Extract the zip file with Winar or Winzip.
* Burn the Folder DVD_2930 with The content xxxxxxxx.ROM insite it on CD according to ISO 9660 (no juliet) at 4x or slower and close the CD.
* Absolutely consider operating instructions!!!

How to Upgrade:
Turn on the player while holding in the PLAY and SKIP FOWARD buttons..the player should now say INITIALIZE.
Open the dvdtray and insert the cdr and close. the update should start automaticly.
Wait until display says COMPLETE, when done the tray will open automaticly.
remove the cdr BUT DONT CLOSE THE TRAY YET.
turn of the player with the ON/off button (not the stanby)
Turn on the dvdplayer while holding the PLAY and SKIP FORWARD button.
the player should say INITIALIZE again....turn of player....DONE
Now setting up the player again with your custom settings. I have burned another CD with the slower speed x8, but the 2930 still can not read the ROM data.....
