相信UMG/philips自已都吾明，所以佢地个肺柴audioQC部门系吾会approve用CD做master
只会揾番當年U-matic...

If Universal still kept the original U-matic tape for the 西德版 and that was directly transferred to 西德版 CD, then the data on the U-matic tape and 西德版 CD should be identical (no difference), as long as the tape is without error and the data is properly fed without jitter problem to the LBR for glass master cutting. If that's really the case, then I don't mind at all!{:6_142:}
So, no excuse from Universal. Unless they dig out the original analogue mix-down tapes (if they can still be found) and do a PROPER (this is important, BAD transfer doesn't count) transfer to digital, they will NEVER get better sound. I am not interested in all the EQ- and dynamics-playing of dCS/XRCD/K2HD/etc or bad transfers of SACD.{:6_170:}
If they put 淡淡幽情 onto Glass CD, they had better do it RIGHT! This album is amongst the most important albums of Chinese music. They had better not insult Teresa's (and Polydor/Polygram/Universal's) legacy AGAIN.{:6_167:}

If I have not mistaken, SHM-XRCD = XRCD but pressed in the SHM-CD medium = a better XRCD. So, no need to listen and I know it's no good. {:6_146:}
