正常eSATA係要係電腦關機狀態下,先開Docking再開電腦先認到。

Here are some ideas for you:
1. You need to check whether there are proper drivers for your eSATA port for XP.If I remember correctly, XP pre-dates the eSATA standard, so chances are that you won't be built-in drivers for eSATA.
2. IDE drives aren't supposed to be hot-plugged in XP (well, they shouldn't be in general). If you are running XP, chances are that you configured SATA drives as IDE in your BIOS and as a result of that, your eSATA drives are configured as IDE drives. So hot-plug won't work. That should explain why some people suggested that you reboot the machine with the drive plugged in and switched on.No easy fix for that.If you change the settings in your BIOS, chances are that your machine won't boot altogether.
In short, upgrading to Windows 7 might not be a bad idea. And if you do, you should change the settings in BIOS to run SATA drives in ACHI mode.

Correct. There are other ways to change it after installing Windows, but a bit painful and risky.
