Djaddy hing, can you tell me where I can buy this converter and how much ?I'm also using a Vaio NB as cas and original want to buy an Expresscard34 with optical out but couldn't find it.Is it a better sound quality to use this USB->SPDIF converter than the direct USB out ?Does this convert need power supply ?

Tested direct USB, sounds harsh. This is most likely due to the poor quality of the USB plugs used at the lower DACs.

If my laptop already has TOS link output (can output up to 24/192 to my Esoteric D07), would a USB to S/PDIF or Coaxial convertor still be necessary?
