Yes, I guess you are right.I reckon D1 is more suitable for people:-

1. Have multiple disks and do not want to go for external HD cradle.

2. Have a big screen TV (so that it is pointless to have Smart D1 as you cannot see the somewhat tiny display from 10 feet away in any event)

3. Want to concentrate on the movie and do not want to be disturbed by the tiny fluorescent display.

However, in terms of appearance, I must say D1 is better looking than H1.
