In general, if you pay by VISA card in HK$ for local consumption, eg food, mobile bill, & spending etc, there is no extra charge.But it does not cover overseas transaction eg. we buy bluray through Amazon UK.So, overseas spendings by VISA in HK$, there may be extra charge.
BTW, the banks always encourage us to use VISA card for overseas spendings because they can earn a substantial profit.

我以前係amazon 一向都係用VISA (外幣結算), 但而家轉用American Express, 個rate 相對好似平過VISA 少少, 而且個Asia Miles conversion 都會係雙倍 (因為係外幣結算)
我試過用外幣同港幣結算，用外幣確實抵好多，因Amazon個匯率太高，遠遠超出信用卡用外幣結算嘅charge，所以大家唔需要再試，肯定係用外幣著數。

見英遜自己想買既碟終於到價，
今日唸住郁手落ORDER，
但落手之前打多次去HSBC問，
佢話VISA畀果個RATE已經計埋1.95%既手續費，
銀行本身唔會再收任何CHARGE / HANDLING
所以，過賬日VISA畀果個EXCHANGE RATE就係找錢果個RATE了。
BTW，乜近排GBP個RATE咁鬼高要成12.69架？
真懷念11.X果時既日子。
