I think that to burn a ture copy for a beloved CD to be played on general CD player with CD-R is a bit risky. I think that the same problem is also applied to all common CD-R product in market because I had the same poor experience with both self-made CD-R and CD-R bought from CD shop in the past. The problem maybe coming from the unstable quality of the CD-R, different CD-R writer or different software in use. Any C Hings would you please share your past experience with us if you had the same experience or opinion !{:6_190:} quality problem..........{:6_192:} Problem for this CD-R out there are the following:
1. The quality of the CD-R. Not all cD-R are create equal.
2. Burn Time. The burn time need to be within 4x speed to get most CD player to play the disc. if use anything about that speed. some old player will not play well. like Accustic Arts, EMM Labs, All Philips CD Pro 2.
CD-R is not good for audio. since their layer is not protected.
Hope this help. CD-R may not be bad for audio use because it is commonly used as a "mother tape/disc" nowaday in audio industry. Apart from the first original recording sound track, the recording studio will use audio grade CD-R to serve as "mother disc" for making of CD and related products.........(I guess{:6_141:})
Whether CD-R is good for audio use mainly depends on the quality of CD-R used & the burning process.........I believe that good CD-R will bring us the same "master disc" sound quality as we are always wanted.......just my 2 cents{:6_142:}
