To me, good sound is, when u listen to a symphony performed by an Orchestra, you can really sense different instruments playing but vocal with each other. By the sound, you can feel the intention of the music, then good sound is achieved!
Of course, the music itself is the main part, i.e. if the song itself is not touching, not good, and the recording is bad, then whatever hi-fi is useless.
Afterall, it depends, like the great conductor Karajan, he loves music and loves the quality of the sound recording, so he spent much of his time exploring how to record a good CD. Not other conductors share the same.
Just my 2 cents.
I think we are listening to music not sound. So we should appreciate the singer and the lyric instead of indulging in super high end expensive hifi. Again, follow your ears or heart, like it or not it is real up to "me".
