H.264視頻編碼/解碼器，基於MPEG-4 Part 10標準，應用於藍光和HD-DVD技術。AVC/H.264 是下一代視頻標準，CoreAVC被認為是最有效率的H.264視頻解碼器。由於能充分利用顯卡的硬件解碼功能，CoreAVC在相同配置情況下解碼H.264視頻比FFDShow快一半左右。
關於一些選項的建議值：
Standard Deblocking、Skip F-Frame Deblocking 以及 Skip All Deblocking 。
其中 Deblocking 的意思為解碼去塊，能夠消除 H.264 壓縮編碼可能產生的馬賽克，真實的還原 H.264 的畫質，但是對處理器提出了較高的要求。對平均碼率 10Mbps 級別或以下的 H.264 ，建議選 Standard Deblocking ，保證良好的畫面質量，且對於整機的壓力也並不是很大。對平均碼率 20Mbps 級別的的高碼率 H.264 (如 BBC 深藍) ，機器配置在 Pentium D 3GHz 以上的雙核 CPU，建議啟用 Deblocking。如果是單核 CPU，建議選 Skip All Deblocking，可提高解碼速度 20% 以上，稍降畫質換速度，比較適合目前次主流的單核處理器，比如 AMD Althon 64 3200+、Pentium 4 650/651 這類處理器。當然，這也與影片製作時的壓制方式有關，如果 H.264 在編碼時沒有啟用 Deblocking 的話, 那麼解碼時以上選項是無效的。
接著是關於反交錯的選項，程序默認的是 No Deinterlace 選項。
目前的 H.264 1080i 大部分是電影片源，播放時無需啟用反交錯，平時可設置為」No Deinterlace」，這時可獲得實際相當於1080p 的最高畫質。碰到少數視頻片源，會出現拉絲，這時才需打開反交錯，畫質介於 540p- 1080p 之間。
反交錯的選項有 Software Deinterlace，此時 CoreAVC 通過軟件進行反交錯的設置，對於處理器的要求較高。Software Double Framerate，此時CoreAVC 用雙倍幀率來做反交錯，會多耗 20% 以上的處理器佔用率，且畫質並不會提高。DirectShow Deinterlace 通過顯卡來做反交錯。Geforce 6/7 系列以及 ATi X1X00 系列的顯卡都有較高級別的反交錯算法，在保證畫質同時可以減輕處理器的壓力，如果顯卡正常支持，建議選用，否則還是建議選用 Software Deinterlace 選項。
然後是 Color Space Output 選項。
這是 CoreAVC 解碼完成後輸出給視頻渲染器的視頻數據格式的優先順序。該選項對畫質基本沒什麼影響，一般保持默認設置(YV12優先)就行了，或前 2 位放YV12、 YUY2(上下箭頭移動)。一般主流得顯卡都可以正常支持YV12、YUY2格式。出現顯示不正常，可換換優先順序。對於 Fix VMR9 color Range 這個選項，解碼器默認為啟用，修復VMR9色域選項，建議為打開。
