I actually tried HD950 with Kikuchi SW-100HD WA in a shop at Central after posting a request on JVC website.

1. Kikuchi SW-100HD AM             Gain = 0.80, Half gain 85degree
2. Kikuchi SW-100HD WA            Gain = 0.85, Half gain 85degree
3. Steward_Firehawk_SST 100"    Gain = 1.10, Half gain 32degree
4. Steward_StudioTEK 130 G3 100"Gain = 1.30, Half gain 68degree

I haven't finalize the screen yet because I am still struggling whether I will watch the projector with some ambient light especially with friend during football match or party time. It is quite odd with all light off with friend hanging around

So far the conclusion is "Nothing is prefect".

So I will go to AsXa in CWB this Sat to compare the screen with Stewart.

Look forward for more input for you all.

when I tested recently, I personally found the stewart screen much better and bought it
I think kikuchi is nice on its own, but when tested against stewart, then the difference is marked
Also, the top of the range kikuchi I believe is not much cheaper than stewart either

Hi MTYO ,

The price I have for "K" is ~ HKD14XXX while for "S" is HKD31XXX which is almost double and both are 100" with electrical motor.

Please advice the price you have and see if it is cheaper.

have a test at TST hifi gallery b4, they got the OS & Kikuchi (120")for demo, personally i like the overall performance of Kikuchi

    I have a high ceiling and need to have the screen made with extra 'black part', so more expensive than your price

This is the comment from my dealer and please share yours.

"Firehawk SST is special design for Sony projector to help them corrected the weakness, and both of this two screen are same price
Kukichi AG,PG are design for narrow viewing angle and needed to be installed the projector level as close as to the viewer eyes which I'm not recommend."

I am also planning to upgrade my projection system from 720p to 1020p era.Although JVC can provide better black shades, I just like the vivid colour effect by Sony, so most likely I will choose the cheap HW-15.For the screen, I will also need a 90 - 100" electric one, I have only viewed Steward's StudioTek and Firehawk as well as cheap China Grandview screens. Very frankly, I can't tell any difference between these 2 brands from my bad old eyes. However, the price between them is about 10 times.I think I will rather go for Grandview. In my mind, screen is only a low tech. product made of cheap synthetic material.The only concern is the durability for motor mechanism and flatness of screen which will be wait and see for the cheap China product.Nonetheless, say for the ten years of working life of the screen, I don't think I need to change 10 defective Grandview during the period so as to offset 1 costly Steward.I really want to spend my hard money wisely.
