I have also upgrade the firmware to 4.81.However, when I play the Blu-ray BDMV files using the "Blu-ray play mode", it fails to light up the HD Audio light (i.e. DTS-MA or Dolby TrueHD) of my Pioneer LX-82.I am really really disappointed!!!!!!I can only get HD Audio output if I switch to the "intelligent play mode" instead.However, as you may aware, the Blu-ray menu cannot be displayed.Further, the automatic framerate selection (i.e. 24p) function will also be deactivated if the "intelligent play mode" is selected.
For Remux files (i.e. not BDMV files), the HD Audio light can be lighted using the "Blu-ray play mode" or the "intelligent play mode".
I am disappointed that HD Vision will issue such an immature firmware.
Any Ching compare this N3 with oppo 80/83 Bluray player before?

Please consider carefully before upgrading to the new firmware.Apart from me, other users also experienced (similar) problems regading the new firmwire:-
Extracts from messages of other N3 user in the official N3 forum:-

4.18.1 report:
1) 我無用功放，所以对我無咩影響，暫時係：因我多數夜晚睇movie，只可以用5.1耳機Pioneer SE-DRS3000C，用緊原裝光籤線，以前唔駛set，tv 同耳機都一同有聲，但係up 左后，要係set up 到再set 由HDMI 出改為光籤出，对我有少少唔方便。
2) 暫無死機事件，HDMI 反而对應正常番，以前部TV 顯示係1080i出，而家可以出到1080p，仲有TV 輸出比例可自由更改，如：16:10, 16:9, 4:3......etc
暫時係咁，有問題再報﹗

其實我都有出現過同樣問題 , 後來上余生度佢同我做左 d 0野 , 跟住佢親自同我upgrade firmware , 咁就播 bdmv 都出到 hd audio ,(我係用 denon 3808) 余生話應該係upgrade 時出現錯誤所引至 {:6_123:}
不過我晌 p.2 #19 講過upgrade 冇得番轉頭 , 所以 ching 們upgrade時一定要好小心 , 同諗過博唔博得過 {:6_147:}
