The problem for Japanese AV Amp is that, not only its product cycle is short, the quality of the successor model may not be better than its equivalent predecessor.For example, early batch of Onkyo 905 is made in Japan and Onkyo 906 is made in Malaysia.I have listened to both and I actually find that 905 is better sonically even though 906 has got more "certification".
