Vancouver's Ryan Reynolds injured on set of The Green Lantern
VANCOUVER -- Vancouver heartthrob Ryan Reynolds is gritting his teeth this week after suffering a painful injury to his shoulder while filming The Green Lantern, according to reports.
The actor, who is married to cinematic stunner Scarlett Johansson, hurt himself on set of the DC Comics action movie in New Orleans, reports Usmagazine.com.
“He is in lots of pain. He’s been keeping ice on it," a source confides to the publication.
However, E! Online downplays the injury, saying it was only minor and did not delay production.
His rep has not commented on the matter.
Reynolds, 33, was raised here in B.C. The Definitely, Maybe star graduated from Kitsilano secondary school in 1994 and has enjoyed an A-list career on the silver screen. He was named one of People magazine's Sexiest Men Alive in 2008 and 2009.
After splitting from pensive pop star Alanis Morisette, he met and courted Johansson, tieing the knot in 2008 in a private ceremony near Tofino.
