A recent isue of AV fortnight had examined 650 and confirmed that it was significantly different from oppo 80. Don't know who is correct.
咁而家oppo 83係咪都係得大陸網可買到...唔識點攪.. ..因為我連信用卡都無..網上過數之類 ...

According to the official webiste, the answer to your question is a resounding "Yes".If you use Oppo to watch movies only, I suggest you can settle with 83.If you subsequently change your mind and would like to use the player to serve as a CD player for example, you can buy an external DAC.I guess the performance of a decent external DAC would be definitely better than that of the SE version.

But I will also say, the price of the external Dac that can out-perform 83SE, should be much higher than the price different between 83 and 83SE !
