請教Roon Core的選擇
雖然是Aurender N10用家，還是被Roon的文件管理吸引，開始嘗試一下。請教下Roon Core的選擇問題：1. Intel Nuc i5或者i7
2. Mac Mini M1版
（音樂存儲在Aurender N10上，DAC是Ayre QX-5 USB/NET DAC）
目前網上爬文學習瞭解到，Intel Nuc可以裝Roon Rock，Mac Mini M1只能安裝 Roon Core。因為家裡Apple設備較多，如果音質差不多，希望選擇Mac Mini M1；如果Intel NUC音質比mac mini明顯好，那麽還是會選擇Intel NUC？
另外請問RAM 和SSD大小如何建議？

You have one more option.Add one more partition in Mac Min for Dual Boot. One partition is for Roon Server and one partition is for Mac O/S. Then you can install Roon server in Linux. The sound is better than install Roon in Mac Mini. Then you don't need to waste money to buy Intel Nuc to install Roon. If you have technical knowledge , then it is fine. I am an IT guy so I know how to do ( search frominternet ) and i am using an old mac min 2012 I7 to dual boot to act as roon server.I know one guy in internet who helps the guys to install roon for Linux in Mac mini and he can also install HQplayer for you to do sound upsample. Of course, this is chargable and it is not so expensive.

You may consider a fanless case and linear power supply for your NUC setup.
I’d both configurations using NUC and Mac mini 2012 as Roon Core but in different set of equipment (day, streamer, amp and speakers). Therefore I cannot have an apple-to-apple comparison in this regard.By the way, the fan in Mac mini may be a bit annoying. devilmurphy 發表於 2022-9-9 10:33

Both Akasa and Keces P8 are on top of my target list for fanless case and LPS.
For fanless case, i think Akasa could bethe only and great option. And the price is quite reasonable. The only challenge is to transfer the board from NUC to Akasa.

I think P3 will also work well in this regard given it never goes beyond 2A.There are also many references on YouTube on mounting fanless case using NUC.
