{:6_141:} This AMP is 230V, is it safe to use a 240V transfrmer for power supply, or this maybe too much for the AMP???{:6_141:} 通常係220v 下,{+/-} 10%內都ok This AMP is 230V, is it safe to use a 240V transfrmer for power supply, or this maybe too...Eclipse 發表於 2010-3-25 17:42 http://www.post76.com/discuss/images/common/back.gif
30 years ago the voltage of the power supply in HK was 200v only. Then most of the enthusiasts discussed if it was good to use a step-up transformer to get 220v and the conclusion was negative. It is because you need a very big transformer to provide the amplifier a steady current. The voltage in HK is 220v now so it is good enough for any electronic devices marked with the voltage requirement from 220v to 240v. Thanks, will try and see how it turn's out!!!!
