On Christmas Eve 1969, the Norwegian government announced a news item that would change Norway forever. The day marked the start of Norway's oil age and an unparalleled economic adventure. An oil platform suddenly goes down outside the Ormen Lange field. Researchers are desperately trying to find the solution to the seemingly unexplained incident. Norway is holding its breath when it turns out that the accident is just the beginning of something that will become much more serious. A human drama of life and death begins as thousands of oil workers are suddenly trapped on platforms across the North Sea. The largest rescue operation in Norwegian history is a fact. Sofia (Kristine Kujath Thorp) is in the middle of this chaos. She is a young entrepreneur who works with very advanced underwater robots. Together with her colleague Arthur (Rolf Kristian Larsen), she has to risk everything in a desperate battle against the clock, as it turns out that Sofia's girlfriend is trapped in a broken platform deep below the foaming sea surface.
