just a piece of information for ching using v3900 and z7 that firmware version 1.11 is available through network update.

according to the japanese site the new firmware improve the HDMI standby through stability.

I bought my v3900 last week and ran the update on Saturday and discovered that.

It's good that Yamaha keep update firmware for their AV Amp. I recall that I have my 3900 update firmware in early 2010 and now new firmware again.
