he told me the cd part was "ok",but not as good as people decribe .....the dvd upscaling part was even worst than ps3 .i will go to his house soon to take a look .{:6_136:}

by the way i m using denon 3800 and 2500 , i can tell you the dvd upscaling part was amazing , i saw there's one in second hand market . u can take a look .

I don't think Oppo 83 is good player for CD, except upgrade to SE or NuForce Edition....

I would say the performance of OPPO BDP-83 is superb, if not, Linn won't use it for repackaging (BD-30)and sell it at 6 times the price of OPPO !
