Why do people use banana plug???

As title! Am I correct that every connection (Amp> banana plug>cables>banana plug and speaker's internal connections > speaker units) between the amp and the speakers unit will deteriorate the signal. So why not eliminate all possible elements, which are teh connecting plug and direct fix the cable to the terminals. Or the plug will actually provide a better connection between the cable andconnections??

the plugs will prevent oxidation of the cable core
and banana plug allows you to 拔插 quickly and easily
