McIntosh C 2200 is only a Tube Pre-amp which is used to listen to the stereo music via the front speakers. My blueray player is connected to Onkyo 5507 with a HDMI 1.3b cable and let Onkyo 5507 decode the HD surround sound (7.1).
This is a normal connection if you have both a surround controller and a stereo system. It is also why most of the Pre-amps / Integrated Amps come with a Bypass/ Passthru input for connecting the AV Controllers.

老兄：
Onkyo 5507的售價是港幣壹萬捌仟圓左右，老麥C2200的售價則是港幣肆萬圓。後級擴音機不算在內，反正B&W802D不論聆聽音樂或是欣賞電影，亦須後級擴音機推動。兩台Pre價錢之差別說出本人重点是放在音樂的享受。
本人更換802D之前，是使用Hales Concept One，音响評論家陳XX在發燒XX雜誌內稱讚Concept One乃爆得起的揚聲器；但本人則認為802D的動態比Concept One 贏了九條街。
B&W802D的低音箱比較舊款802Matrix大了約80%，兩者不能比較，亦不可用豐記售賣的B&W作為一個基準評論802D的動態，它的爆炸力是你想像不到的。
再者，老兄必定忽略了本人的Subwoofer是Velodyne DD18。
