HDMI cables difference
I don't know whether this has been discussed before:A $10 HDMI cable performs no different than a $1K HDMI cable? As far as I know, HDMI processes digital data, 1's and 0's - it's either received or not. There should not be any difference if it is 24K silver or what. Is the difference only from our subjective or biased opinion? 小弟淺見 :
雖然數碼 signal 只係 "0" 同 "1", 但線材由於用料及造工問題.......
中間可能 miss 咗幾個 "0" 或者 "1"
亦可以多咗幾個 "0" 或者 "1"
又甚至由於干擾而令到部份 "0" 變成為 "1", 部份 "1" 又變成為 "0"........
可以有好多可能性
(或者打個比喻 : router 同電腦之間都係傳輸數碼 signal ........ 但唔保證中間一定無干擾 / error / data loss) Ching,
This assuming is in error. Where electrical current flows, EMF will be introduced. Hence, pic & sound quality will be affected. Better conductors & shielding material will affect the end result. I have tested HDMI cables from $50 - $2k. All have different characteristics.
My 2 cents. 簡單d講,大家以一米長無loss的情況下所有訊號都會到,但平線可能傳遞時間上有時差同埋實際上有loss,
靚線基本上loss會較少
如果你只係要求有聲有畫面,用10蚊線真係無問題的,同埋唔好用比較心理 數碼signal的確只係 "0" 同 "1"; 貴線實際上吾會提升你既器材, 但失真上較其他會少, 還原象真度高, 所以有錯覺貴線一定靚d咁解！
所以我認為大廠做既線係QC上會有一定保證, 並非越貴就代表越好！ 3# djaddy
To bring this up I just want all of us to spend money wisely and with real justification.
For EMF issue I think it could work on analog but in digital, how we can twist the binary data? If the source give you "1001" for image information, how can we make a nicer "1001"? It is like HDTV broadcasting, it is either you get the picture or you missed some grids of the picture. Maybe this should be the beauty of digital.

Simple test: buy a HK$50 cable and compare it with BJC cable (~HK$150).Costing you less than $200, you can find OBVIOUS visual difference.In my opinion, HDMI cables of price at $200-$500 provides the highest value of improvement vs those below $100.I may describe at least 20% - 30% improvement for this tier of products.{:6_238:}

Data 本身雖然係 Digital, 但唔好忘記, 佢係以 "電流脈衝" 既形式, 經由導體 (線材) 傳遞去 AMP / TV
傳遞途中, 導體本身既電阻, 以及四周環境既干擾 (例如其他線材既電流, 靜電等) 都有可能令電流有所衰減 / 損失, 從而令電流於到達 AMP / TV 後未必能夠得以 100% 還原為 data
優質 HDMI 線既好處 >>>> SOURSE 出 "1001", 就真係傳遞到 "1001" 去 AMP / TV
次等 HDMI 線既弊處 >>>> SOURCE 出 "1001", 可能傳遞咗 "1000" / "101" / "10011" 去 AMP / TV
不過老實講, 如果 HDMI 線並非太長的話, 就算一般既 HDMI 都已經將 "傳遞工作" 做得好好, 唔似以前 analog 年代咁大分別 我諗一條合格既hdmi 同一條幾十元大陸線..就可能有分別
因為條平d既線可能都未合格...
至於話..合格線同千幾元既就可能唔係太大分別
