After a discussion with a ching regarding 磁環 & htpc, I decided to add some 磁環 today. Besides the HDD, bd-rom, & power for the m/b, I have applied 磁環 noise generating devices such as fans, led, & usb connectors.

I just read:
"磁環"會減少噪音，因為佢會減弱線裡面微弱既電流，尤其高頻噪音。 因為"磁環"會增加線既inductance(電感)，又會加強訊號對ground(地)既capcitance(電容)，整體會減弱高頻噪音。

I haven't used my bedroom system for a very long time... Last night, I did. Boy, it sounded terrible! It seems a lot of frequencies were cut out. Then I realized that I installed 磁環 in the MCB circuit breaker unit for my bedroom power. Everything sounded better after removing the 磁環!
Do not install 磁環 on your audio equipment!
磁環之前聽過會CUT高頻, 見師兄玩得咁厲害, 有個問題想請教...
如果我認為對喇叭高音太刺耳, 但又未有錢轉 ...

磁環 may help you resolve the "刺耳" issue. However, other audio frequencies may be affected. It is best to play around with your system and isolate the cause of your problem.
