2ch music in AV amp

So I tried to set my front speakers at 0dB, turn off EQ and play the music again...
Any ching use 0dB for playing 2ch music & turn off EQ?
Here is my guess....

I didnt use Stereo because the sound will be processed by AV amp before it is going out.
Here is my connection of my setup
DVDP (Coaxial) --> DAC (RCA) --> AV amp
I use Pure Direct so that the truest possible reproduction of a source (DAC) can be heard.... Im listening some CDs now... feel it is far better than before....
Sigh... played by the amp this time, I thought Pure Direct mode will neglect all digital settings (EQ, Channel level etc).... but.... it will not neglect Channel level... My FL was -8dB and FR was -6dB.... Now they are all at 0dB
Thats why there is a big difference la....
Be honest, though I can hear more details now, while compared to using Int amp, it still lacks of the "taste"....

C-hing you're right. Chosing the Direct mode will bypass and do not use the built-in DAC function of the Amp but Stereo involves processing of the received digital signal by the DAC function of the Amp.
