如同我在前面提到的，80年代製造的CD，analog轉digital的技術仍有不足，所以華納的美版長條紙盒以及CD的back cover有很多都可以看到上面這段文字。Prince的Purple Rain(1984)終於發行了3CD+DVD的Expanded Edition，第一張CD是2015年的remaster，由Prince本人親自做的remaster，與當年的舊美版相比較，因為當年的技術不足，舊美版的確reveal limitations of the source tape，新的remaster聲音非常完美。第二張CD則是收錄了1983到1984年之間的其他未發表錄音，第三張CD則是當年發行的single以及B-sides。Prince的fans應該都知道，Prince在80年代發行的single，有很多都有B-sides，最麻煩的是12" Single與7" Single除了A-sides的長度不同，很多時候是連B-sides的版本長度都不同，比Pet Shop Boys還麻煩，第三張CD則是差不多都收齊了。而CD2與CD3都是由Bernie Grundman負責remaster，聲音也比當年的CD single大幅進步，這個新版絕對稱得上是優質再版名盤CD。
The Beatles的精選輯1(2001)，在2015年底時又發行了新的remastered版本，CD＋2BD的版本原本要價超過40英鎊，英國Amazon上個月跌到16英鎊左右的價位，我就買了一張。最近陸續將2張BD拿出來看，也聽了CD，我沒有比較2015年的remastered是否比2001年的版本更出色，實際上是2個版本的CD聲音都非常好。不過，2張BD的5.1 Mix以及restored的HD畫質著實驚人，讓我感受到60年代的Beatles熱潮，這個版本應該算得上是優質再版名盤。
