why 7200RPM is better if 5400RPM can handle the video/audio data stream speed?

That is really interesting topics. Frankly, the streaming speed difference is not so significant but IOPS. The time of seeking the writing/reading head to the file start on platter would matter. The faster RPM, the faster it can locate the file segment, particularly when it comes down to the situation we use the HDD for direct bluray ripping. Well, another observation on my external docking may give us a hint:starting bluray movie using LITE menu always results from more LED blinking (means more read/write activities on HDD) comparing to starting with full menu. Though it may not relate to 5400 vs 7200 comparison directly, it does indicate the ways of playing bluray movie may result into different playlist manipulation. Some may require re-seeking the head on platter more often. Then I'll go for 7200 without hesitation if price difference is not so obvious.
Just my 2c

Another big decider will be if UHD Blu-ray can be ripped in the future. Otherwise, most Android box can add Kodi for good picture quality streaming.

Good point!
I am not objecting to using 7200RPM drives, just want to hear the technical merits for day to day use.Since I only rip to my PC and transfer ISO or directory to USB3 external 2.5 drives and do not rip directly to a media player with internal HDD, my needs are probably much simpler.
I do not see any lag or issues when searching or fast-forwarding while using my simple 2.5 drive watching 1:1 BD movie rips.If given a choice, I would choose a drive with better longevity over absolute speed, which 5400RPM might give you if you see drives like WD Red drives for NAS are still 5400RPM.Again nothing is cast in stone and anything is possible.
Just my 2 cents. {:1_259:}
